Review of "NIKITA"

Abducted by a rogue black-ops governmental agency, Division, Nikita uses the specialized training they gave her in a struggle to bring them down, especially the leader, Percy.  She's intelligent, strong, brave, moral (doesn't kill if she can avoid it and tries hard not to hurt innocent bystanders) and a martial arts and weapons expert--sort of what James Bond might be as a woman, except she doesn't screw at every opportunity like 007 does. She's quite attractive, but rarely looks or acts sexy.

Helping her is another young woman, Alex, whom Nikita has planted inside Division to feed Nikita information. If Alex is caught, she'll be killed.

The characters are reasonable for an adventure series, though Percy is painted a little too evil for my tastes.  I like more mixed villains.  Perhaps I should complain that Nikita herself is too noble and talented, but I also like competent heroes (and heroines), and she certainly is that.  The episodes are exciting, with a good mix of action scenes, quieter contemplation, and emotion.  The music is stirring, but not memorable.

Most of the episodes are linked, and they build to some extent on each other, so it is better to watch the series in order.  The first episode starts with Alex being abducted by division.  This confused me at first because I thought it was Nikita herself being abducted.  Once I figured it out, I had no problems following the action.

This is one of the most exciting and enjoyable videos I've found.  I give it a five - +++++.  It will get your pulse up to a sprint, and you'll forget you're working out.
